Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla has apologized to public opinion that the socialist mayors accused of corruption have escaped the filters. 

However, the Socialist Head of Parliamentary Group also underlines that his party doesn't protect those who break the law, in this way implying that the Mayor of Bulqiza will face alone justice.

"I am not ashamed to apologize that a person has managed to penetrate these filters of the party. However, we have set up a network that even if they manage to penetrate it... we have a very strong legislation, this happens not only in Albania but also in other countries, to verify whether this party has the political will to identify them and remove them from itself. I knew the mayor of Bulqiza very well, he was good, but now the gentleman must face justice. This happens in all consolidated democracies. A few days ago, officers entered the residence of the president of America, for example," stated Balla.

Mayor of Bulqiza, Lefter Alla, was arrested by order of SPAK this Thursday morning together with 12 other people for abusing ALL 322 million (Around EUR 3 millions) with the water supply tender.
