The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, commemorated this Wednesday the Qafë Valmir massacre, in Mirdita. Through a message on social media, Berisha emphasizes that the killing of 14 innocent men was an act by the chief executioners Enver Hoxha and Mehmet Shehu, adding that today Rama is silent about the crimes. 

"Today, the 73rd anniversary of the Qafë Valmir massacre! 

Dear friends, on August 17, 1949, by order of the executioner, the serial killer, the Minister of the Interior at the time, Mehmet Shehu, and direct executioner Enver Hoxha, 14 innocent men were executed in Qafë Valmir, as an act of primitive revenge for the murder of the head secretary of Mirdita, Bardhok Biba, with whom none of these martyrs had any relation. They were sentenced without any evidence or facts, but only as anti-communist by the judge Bilbil Klosi. 

The martyrs of Qafë Valmir were forced to open the grave themselves, the common pit. Ten of them were shot, while four of them were hanged on a rope in front of hundreds of Mirdita gathered by compulsion, to be present at the act of massacre, with the ominous intention of terrorizing them and all of Mirdita. 

Just like today, 73 years ago, the martyrs of democracy, descendants of the best families of Mirdita, were shot or hanged:

2. Pjeter D. Vila-Ka?inar, hanging on the rope. 
3. Dodë Mark Biba-Kthëllë e Epër, hanging on the rope 
4. Pjeter Paloka-Ka?inar, hanging on a rope 
5. Nikolle Bardhok Bajraktari-Rrëshen, shot. 
6. Llesh Gjon Melyshi-Malaj, shot. 
7. Nikol Llesh Bajraktari-Orosh, shot. 
8. Ndrecë Mark Ndoj-Ka?inar, is shot. 
9. Bardhok Dodë Gjini-Prosek, is shot. 
10. Gjok Gjin Kaçi-Bukmirë, shot. 
11. Gjergj Beleshi-Kthella e Eper, killed for his brother, Doda. 
12. Follows Gjet Cupi-Blinisht, is shot. 
13. Preng Skurt Nikolli-Orosh, is shot. 
14. Frrok Mata-Ka?inar, is shot. 

After this massacre, hundreds of Mirditors, men, women, children and the elderly were imprisoned and interned in the concentration camps of the regime. 

The massacre of Qafë Valmir is one of the ugliest terrorist acts of crimes against humanity and communist genocide of the regime of Enver Hoxha, the Albanian Hitler after the Second World War, it is one of the blindest and most primitive revenges, which was aimed at suppressing of Mirdita's invincible anti-communist resistance. 

Bowing with the deepest reverence before the bright memory of the martyrs of Qafë Valmir, who fell to become immortal from the savage act-revenge, I condemn with the greatest severity this macabre crime of the chief executioners of the Albanian people. Hoxha Shehu, but also the silence they maintain against these terrible crimes today, Edi Rama and their successors in power.
