A security alert involving a suspected explosive object near the United States Embassy in Tirana triggered a significant police response on Saturday morning, authorities said.

State Police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they established a security perimeter and blocked vehicle traffic along the affected section of the roadway after the suspicious object was reported.
