Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is convinced that he will compete with the logo and flag of the Democratic Party in the upcoming local elections on May 14. 

Berisha said that if Prime Minister Rama holds hostage the court's decision to recognize the December 11 statute, he will face consequences. 

Furthermore, Berisha stated that the citizens at this moment have the right to believe that Rama has ordered the former head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, that his group should boycott the local elections. 

"Albanians know that on March 25, the court decided the legitimacy of December 11. I guarantee that DP will participate in the elections, with its logo and flag. If Edi Rama has decided to take it hostage, he will face all the consequences. We will do everything to ensure that our rights are respected. We demand nothing but our legal right. There is a court decision that is held hostage by Edi Rama. Every Albanian has the right to suspect that he ordered Lulzim Basha to boycott the local elections," declared Berisha.
