Biden's Letter to Vucic, Calls to Normalize Relations with Kosovo
The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has encouraged Serbia to take proactive actions for the dialogue with Kosovo, as he has mentioned that for a quick normalization, compromises should also be included if necessary.
In a letter addressed to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, for the Day of Serbian Citizenship, Biden has guaranteed that the USA will work closely with Serbia and Kosovo and the European Union in dialogue.
"I encourage Serbia to take steps forward in promoting peace and stability throughout the region and take proactive steps, including compromises when necessary, with the aim of quickly normalizing relations with Kosovo through dialogue under the auspices of the European Union. The United States will continue to work closely with you, Pristina, and our European Union partners to achieve this important goal," states, among other things, Biden's letter to Vucic, published by the website of Presidency in Serbia.
The American president has said that Serbia, under the leadership of Vucic, has joined the 140 democratic countries of the world in the United Nations that have condemned Russia's war in Ukraine.
"It is important that we remain united in supporting Ukraine and condemn Russia's brutal war," his letter continues.
As reported by "N1", in Biden's letter to Vucic, it is emphasized that "the normalization of relations with Kosovo is key for the peaceful and successful future of Serbia and the region".
