CEC Approves Replacement of 4 Resigned MPs

The Central Election Commission has approved this Friday the replacements of the mandates left by four deputies, who resigned prior the new legislature of Parliament.

During the meeting CEC decided to give the mandate of Mark Markun, Najada Çomon, Lefter Koka and Gramoz Ruçi to the others on the list of political parties that run in the April 25 elections.

The new elected MPs are; Mimi Kodheli in Tirana, Denis Deliu in Durrës, Mirela Pitushi in Fier and Elda Hoti in Lezha.

Immediately after the CEC gives them the mandate, their names will be transferred to the Mandate Verification Commission in the Parliament. Once they pass this 'filter', they can be sworn in as new MPs even though they failed to win in the April 25 elections, but benefit from the resignation of the above names.
