Civil Defense Committee has convened this Sunday to discuss the situation created by the high-intensity rainfall during the last few hours, especially in the districts of Shkodra, Lezha, Tirana, Durres, Vlora and Fier. 

In a statement, the Ministry of Defense warned that more heavy raining is expected, adding that even the Armed Forces of Albania have been put on standby to cope with the situation. 

"With the mayors and prefects of these districts, we reconciled the plan of preventive and facilitating measures for the management of the situation in the following hours, which according to the weather forecast will be heavy rains. 

We are monitoring the situation every minute. The Ministry of Defense, the Civil Defense Agency and the Armed Forces are ready for any need of the local government and citizens", announced the MoD.
