Clashes in Tirana-Partizani, 8 Citizens under Investigations

The State Police has reacted again regarding the violent events that occurred during and after the derby, Tirana - Partizani, which took place on December 3 at the "Air Albania" stadium. The police has stated that the proceedings have started for eight other citizens, who are suspected of having thrown flares on the field and engaged in violent actions. 

Initially, in connection with this case, four people were arrested, 3 others were prosecuted with no security measures and two were declared wanted. 

"Following the information provided yesterday, regarding the match between the Tirana and Partizani teams, held on 03.12.2023, at the "Air Albania" stadium, we clarify that following the investigative actions for the situation created, during and after of this match, other citizens who allegedly threw flares on the field and engaged in violent acts were identified and escorted. 

Following the actions, the materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office and the proceedings have started in free status for the citizens R. S., 21 years old, E. D., 19 years old, G. S., 19 years old, L. B., 20 years old, E. Q., 19 years old, G. H., 35 years old, D. I. , 36 years old and A. Sh., 36 years old, all residents of Tirana. 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions. 

Investigative actions continue for the complete documentation of the illegal actions that occurred during this sports activity and for the identification of the responsible citizens. 

The Tirana Police requires the cooperation of the Federation, sports clubs, fans, and regardless of the incidents that have occurred, is determined to take measures and guarantee order and security for any sports activity, as well as punish any illegality," the police said.
