The Appeal Court decided to postpone decision on the request of the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, to be released from jail and be investigated under easier security measure.

After seven hours, the court session ended this Tuesday.

Decision is expected to be taken on Wednesday in a session called at 12:30 pm.

The reason why the judge, Engert Pellumbi decided to postpone decision is the new evidences presented by the prosecutors on this case.

Veliaj is accused for passive corruption and money laundry, while in this case are under investigations even the businessmen Meriman Palushi, Shkëlqim Fusha, Gentian Sula, Elman Abdule, Sokol Kryeziu and Fatmir Bektashi.
