Cyber Attacks Forces AKSHI Close Government Online Systems
The National Agency of the Information Society (AKSHI) has informed that they were forced to shut down government systems until the neutralization of the enemy attacks in order to cope with the cyber attacks.
AKSHI calls on the citizens to be sensitized in order to break this attack on Albanian national interests and to understand the temporary state of not accessing public services. Public online services and other government sites in the country have been temporarily closed after falling prey to a criminal cyber attack from outside Albania.
"The National Agency of Information Society informs Albanian citizens that it has been forced to temporarily close access to online public services and other government websites because we are facing a synchronized and sophisticated cybercriminal attack from outside Albania. In order to withstand these unprecedented and dangerous strikes, we have been forced to shut down government systems until the enemy attacks are neutralized. We invite the citizens, the media, businesses and all other actors to be sensitized in order to break this attack on Albanian national interests and to understand the temporary state of not accessing public services. AKSHI is on full alert and is working around the clock with the Microsoft team, the Jones Group International team, and the teams of Albanian companies in the ICT field to prevent this cyber attack from damaging or compromising the systems Albanian information", stated AKSHI.
