DIA Report: Albanian, Italian Mafia Cooperate for Drug Trafficking
Puglia gangs are confirmed as supply channels for narcotics. This is how the last report of the DIA in the Parliament came out, focusing on the phenomenon of drug trafficking on the Albania-Puglia Adriatic road, it is confirmed that organized crime in Puglia, using domestic and foreign supply channels, controls drug flows.
Large quantities of drugs, coming mainly from the Adriatic, then pass through the region and finally head to national and foreign drug trafficking centers.
According to DIA investigators, relations with Albanian criminal gangs remain consolidated, representing an important source of supply of marijuana, heroin, synthetic drugs of Asian origin and cocaine imported into Albania by Colombian narcotics. These reports highlight the tendency of Albanian criminal groups to use channels managed by Puglia gangs to transport drugs to the international market.
