Distribution of ALL 500M to Farmers Starts

All farmers or groups of farmers equipped with a tax registration number (NIPT) can start applications to benefit from the national investment scheme in agriculture.
The news was given by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, who, through a video message distributed on her social networks, invites all farmers who meet the defined conditions to apply to benefit from this scheme.
"I am pleased to announce today (September 30) the opening of applications for the National Scheme of Investments in Agriculture, an initiative of the government, which aims to develop the agricultural economy and modernize the latter," said Denaj.
The minister informs that, through a fund of Lek 1.5 billion, farmers have the opportunity to benefit from financing in the form of a grant of 50% of the investment value in the construction of solar greenhouses, in the increase of agricultural machinery, in anti-hail nets, in the promotion and development of marine aquaculture and animal and poultry breeding establishments.
She invited all farmers, commercial companies, that are engaged in this sector, and agricultural union companies, to make their applications starting from September 30.
Denaj said that "the scheme will be open for five weeks to all beneficiaries from the north to the south, from the east to the west, and for this, we will start an intensive direct communication in the 12 districts of the country".
According to her, the agro points are there to provide all the necessary information for all the questions of the farmers, who are waiting to benefit from the National Scheme, after it has been discussed and worked on throughout the year.
Albanian farmers can apply for funds that will support up to half of the value of their investment in agriculture and livestock. With the revision of the budget, Lek 500 million (around Euro 5 million) has been allocated for investments in the sectors of greenhouses, stables, and agricultural machinery.
According to the benefit conditions, for investments in stables, half of the cost of investments for animal stables and the growth of establishments will be covered by the state, but the maximum that can be benefited is Lek 15 million per subject.
To benefit, farmers must have over 10 cows, Over 100 sheep or goats, or over 10,000 poultry.
For agricultural equipment, up to Lek 5 million will be offered as a grant for agricultural and livestock farms. Grants of up to Lek 20 million will be available for fishing.
Applications can be made online through the e-Albania portal or physically at Agropoints or Regional Agricultural Agencies.
At the online portal e-Albania, farmers must use the "Application for the National Support Scheme for Farmers" service, filling in the data based on self-declaration, and the application is automatically linked to their tax registration number NIPT.
According to the financing process, 30% of the investment fund will be provided in advance. If the Lek 500 million fund is not fully absorbed by farmers within 2024, it will be reallocated for use in the following year.
This initiative aims to promote investments in agriculture, livestock, and the fishing sector, improving the productive and technological capacities of farmers in the country.
