The Legal Secretary of the Democratic Party, Indrit Sefa, has sent a letter to the Ethics Commission of this political force, asking them to cancel the decision of the General Secretary, Gazment Bardhi, who called the meeting of the National Council on Thursday. 

"We request the acceptance of the request by determining the compatibility of the decision of the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, dated 22.07.2023 'On calling the meeting of the National Council of the Democratic Party of Albania' and the repeal of this decision as an act contrary to the provisions statutory", it is written in the letter. 

Gazment Bardhi, in the capacity of the General Secretary of the DP, has called the meeting of the National Council on Thursday afternoon at 18:00 after the request of 7 MPs to cancel the elections for the new head of the DP that will be held on July 29.
