DP Urges SPAK to Punish PM after Serving Theater’s Land to Tirana Mun.

Time has come for the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) to prove it is not a tool in the hands of Prime Minister Edi Rama, appealed Saturday the Former and elected MP of Democratic Party (DP), Albana Vokshi.

The Democrat has publicly called on the Special Prosecution to take the Head of Albanian Government and Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj before justice, in order for the next “massacre” with the land of the National Theater to be prevented.

Government’s plunge to transfer the land of the National Theater to the Municipality of Tirana is another humiliating act for the citizens and the Constitutional Court, stressed Vokshi just one day after the decision from the Council of Ministers, signed by PM Rama, to transfer to the ownership of the land to the Municipality of Tirana.

“Decision of a few weeks ago by the Constitutional Court clearly states that the decision of the government a year ago to transfer the Theater owned by the Municipality of Tirana was unconstitutional, to the detriment of the national cultural heritage.

The decision means that Edi Rama does not ask about the new justice institutions, when their decisions prevent his corrupt plans with the land of the National Theater.

DP has said since day one that Edi Rama is not interested in a new National Theater, but only his land, which he sees as a source to gain money and illegal assets.

The transfer to the ownership of the Municipality of Tirana of the land of the National Theater is a consequence of the alienation of the vote of the citizens.

A prime minister like Edi Rama, whose power stems from the electoral massacre of April 25, will always make decisions against the interest of the citizens. Instead of a prime minister, the country will be ruled by a politician who rises above the courts and the law”, stated Vokshi.
