An earthquake with 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale occurred on Monday morning in the marine area near the island of Zakynthos in Greece. 

According to reports, the earthquake occurred at 07:53 local time. 

Epicenter of the earthquake was located in the sea area 86 km west-southwest of Zakynthos. 

Focal depth of the 4.4-magnitude earthquake was estimated at 2 km, local media reports.
