Maneskin rock band have been announced winners of the 71st Sanremo Festival on Saturday. 

The group consisting of Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio occupied the hall and won everyone's heart with the song 'Zitti e buona'. 

In second place was Fedez and Francesca Michielin with 'Call me name'. While Albanian singer Ermal Meta has won third place in the 71st edition of Sanremo, with the song "Un milione di cose da dirti". 

The Albanian singer was one of the names mentioned in the Italian media as a contender for first place. Meta has won Sanremo festival three years ago together with Fabrizio Moro with the song "Non Mi Avete Fatto Niente".
