A 37-year-old identified as Bledar Beluli, a former member of the RENEA forces, wounded himself with a firearm in the Institute area of Tirana late on Tuesday evening. 

Local media reported that he went to the hospital himself, but was unable to and was stopped at Casa Italia where he asked for help. 

The 37-year-old man had a gun with a permit and, according to preliminary suspicions, he was cleaning the gun but accidentally fired it. 

However, the bullet caught the 37-year-old in the leg, but the investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident. 

Currently, the 37-year-old is in the hospital under medical care.
