Ex-PM Urges Albanians to Vote after Casting Own Ballot in Tirana
Former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha has voted this Sunday at the polling station inside "Kosova" school i nTirana, accompanied by his wife, Lirie Berisha.
After casting his ballot, Berisha called on the Albanian citizens to vote in their own and their families' best interest.
In his opinion, this is the spring of change, as Albania will leave behind "ugly monism", and this is a day of victory for the country's democracy.
"A call from the heart to all Albanian citizens, to speak today with their vote for the local government. All those who were invited by the fierce enemy of the free vote of the Albanians to stay at home should not forget that this is an incentive, a great appeal for them to participate in the voting today.
He who fears the vote, he fears freedom and is its enemy. I invite all Albanian voters not to forget that repeating the same mistake makes the mistake even bigger. so let their wisdom guide them, so that they can vote in the best interest of themselves, their family, their country", said Berisha.
