First Albanian MP Elected Vice President of NATO Parliamentary Assembly
The Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, MP, Mimi Kodheli, has been elected Vice President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, becoming the first Albanian to hold such a position.
The news was announced by NATO itself, in a statement.
"Today, in its Plenary Session of November 23, 2020, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly elected (with full unanimity) Ms. Mimi Kodheli to the post of Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Ms. Mimi Kodheli, who is currently Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Chair of the Albanian Parliamentary Delegation to the NATO Assembly, thus becomes the first Albanian to be elected to such a position of an international organization.â€
