Andrea Masiello does not have a good reputation in Bari as an own goal scored 11 years ago with Bari in a derby match against Lecce, has never been forgiven by the ultras of this team.

And, in fact, the club of Sudtirol, to avoid an embarrassing situation for the player, has not collected him for the transfer to Bari, with Masiello who can remain calm as long as he does not return to this city, which apparently will never forgive the footballer who played with their feelings for the team of the heart. 

It is worth noting that Masiello has admitted his involvement in match-fixing, pointing out that he scored an own goal to receive the promised money. After his sentence, Masiello also played for Atalanta and Genoa, but this would have been the first time he would return to Bari.
