Four Kosovo Albanians Evacuated from Afghanistan

Four Kosovo Albanians have been evacuated from Afghanistan. The news was announced this Thursday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora in Kosovo. 

In the media announcement, it is said that as a result of escalating the situation in Afghanistan, Kosovo citizens have been identified and assisted in order to not endanger life. 

"The MFA continues to keep the emergency line with +383 45 492 316, and it is available to provide assistance to all new cases that can eventually be notified in the following period," says the MFA Communiqué. 

President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in an interview with the BBC, said that Kosovo is ready to shelter Afghans while mentioning the fact that Kosovo has experienced the same situation. 

President Osmani talking about the situation in Afghanistan said they are scenes to break their heart. The president said that Kosovo has shown readiness to accept Afghans without hesitation. The exact number of Afghans to come to Kosovo is still unknown, while President Osmani said that this will still be discussed.
