French President Macron Welcomes Albania's Prime Minister Rama in Paris

The France's President Emmanuele Macron welcomed Friday the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama to the Elysee Palace in Paris.

In a joint press conference after the meeting, President Macron said that France is really impressed by the reforms that Albania realized.

"I admire the path your country has taken, for friendship, for very deep European feelings. I would say maybe even more than European. This is important to us. I think they're special and that's thanks to joint work," said Macron, among other things.

Both parties will sign an intergovernmental agreement on water management, sustainable tourism and innovation.

The President added that the French development agency will support Albania for its economic reforms and energy transition, signing a loan of 120 million for environmental reform and a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Environment.
