Gazment Bardhi Expelled From Parliament After Throwing Water at Prime Minister

Albanian opposition lawmaker Gazment Bardhi was expelled from a parliamentary session on Thursday after throwing water toward Prime Minister Edi Rama during the voting on legislative proposals.

The incident occurred as Parliament proceeded with votes on the day's agenda. Members of the opposition had gathered around the speaker's podium, blocking proceedings and creating disruption by striking desks with various objects in protest.

As the parliamentary majority continued with the voting process, Prime Minister Rama stood up from his seat and left the chamber. Moments later, opposition Democratic Party (PD) lawmakers threw additional objects in his direction.

The disruption briefly overshadowed the legislative session, highlighting the ongoing political tensions between Albania's governing majority and the opposition.
