Greece Donates 20,000 AstraZeneca Doses to Albania

Greece has donated 20,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Albania this Monday.

As a gift from the Greek government, the vaccines have arrived at Mother Teresa Airport. They were received at the airport by the Deputy Health Minister, Eugena Tomini and the Greek Ambassador, Sofia Philippidou.

Expressing gratitude to Greece for the support, the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu expresses the commitment to continue without stopping with the vaccination plan to protect the life of every citizen.

So far, 956,250 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have arrived in Albania and a total of 836,430 doses have been administered, of which 332,173 citizens have received both doses.

“20,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine have arrived at Mother Teresa Airport, thanks to the Greek assistance to Albania. Acknowledgments to the Government of the Hellenic Republic for its support. Solidarity makes us stronger.

We will continue without stopping with the national vaccination plan, for the protection of the life and health of every citizen. Albania is smiling,” writes Manastirliu.
