Greek Mafia Boss Executed in Front of Family
A 55-year-old man in Greece, known as one of the mafia bosses in the Hellenic state has been executed with a firearm. The serious incident took place in the municipality of Dervenochoria, where Giannis Skaftourou had gone with his family to celebrate Easter.
Skaftourou has been a person who has always felt the danger of threats, so he travelled very rarely. According to initial information, the perpetrators were four people riding two motorcycles. They stopped near the house and two of them wearing helmets entered the yard of the house where Skaftouros was located and in the eyes of the family shot him several times with a Kalashnikov.
The 55-year-old died, while his 22-year-old daughter and father-in-law were injured and transported to hospital.
Giannis Skaftouros has been involved in several serious criminal events, murder or kidnapping. His name was involved in lawsuits with gang leaders for blackmail, arson and other serious offenses. In the summer of 2018, while in Korydallo prison, he was attacked with a knife by members of the Albanian mafia.
Investigations and searches for the perpetrators of the assassination are ongoing, but so far there is no trace.
