Greek Police Reacts about Albanian Breaching Border Restrictions

Greek police have issued an official communication regarding Tuesday's event, where Gardjan Mirukaj from Lezha, broke the border points of Qafe Bota and entered Greece illegally. 

Greek authorities have said that the Albanian was driving without license plates, when he crossed the Mavromat border crossing, bypassing all legal procedures for his entry into the country. 

The car was chased by police forces and at the moment it was attempted to be neutralized in the city of Igoumenitsa, the suspect collided with his car two police vehicles, causing damage. 

He was later arrested after initially attempting to escape. He was charged with "illegal border crossing" and "violence against official employees". Yesterday, citizen Gardjan Mirukaj entered Greece illegaly by breaching the border restrictions. He then refused to obey police order to stop but hit two police cars.
