A 72-year-old man become the first death from the heat wave gripping Albania under record July temperatures up to 43 degrees on Tuesday.

Health officials suspects that the man died from heatstroke in Memaliaj.

The victim was found dead by his relatives in a planted plot. 

The hospitals nationwide have been dealing with cases of heat exhaustion for several days.
