Hundreds of Serbian Govt Officials' Emails Hacked

Some users of the social network Twitter, who claim to be part of the international group of hackers, Anonymous, have undertaken Monday new attacks against the government of the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

This group, which presents itself as hackers, has announced that it has hacked hundreds of email addresses of Serbian government officials.

"Hey Putin's doll, where are you? With the dogs, still?!", is the message recently sent to the Serbian president.

The Anonymous group launched attacks on Serbia at the time when Belgrade had set up barricades in the north of Kosovo.

Hacker group Anonymous has also accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic of acting as "Putin's puppet" as Serbia foments conflict with Kosovo in an act Russia hopes could alienate the West from Ukraine.

"Russia is trying to open a new front in Europe to distract the West," Ivana Stradner, an adviser to the Barish Center for Defense of Democracies for Media Integrity, told Fox News Digital.

"Russia does not want to send troops, tanks or planes to the Balkans where Kosovo and Serbia are located. What Russia wants to do is create chaos within the region," added Stradner.

Last week, Kosovo closed its border with Serbia as the two countries face rising tensions. Ethnic Serbs had set up barricades at the border to protest the arrest of a former policeman suspected of involvement in attacks against ethnic Albanian policemen.
