Illegal Items Seized ahead of Albania-Czech Republic Match, 12 Accompanied

Twelve people were escorted by the Police to the Border Point of Morina, after they tried to introduce pyrotechnic materials and cutting tools into the country, with the aim of using them during the Albania-Czech Republic match. 

More specifically, 43 capsules, 12 cigarette lighters, 9 lighters and 2 cutting tools (knives) were found in their vehicles, which were suspected to be used in the "Air Albania" stadium this Thursday evening. 

"Morinë/Increased checks on citizens and the vehicles they use, as part of the Police's plan of measures, to guarantee public order, safety and tranquillity, before, during and after the Albania-Czech football match. 

They tried to bring pyrotechnic materials and cutting tools into our country, with the aim of using them during the Albania-Czech match, they were escorted to the Police premises by 12 citizens who moved in an organized manner with 2 vehicles. 

43 capsules, 12 smokers, 9 lighters and 2 cutting tools (knives) were seized. 

In the framework of the intensification of the work at the entrance of the country, in order to prevent the introduction of illegal items that can be used during the football match Albania - Czech Republic, which will take place this evening, the Border Police services of PKK Morina and those of the Kukës Local Police Directorate, the "Volkswagen" type vehicle, driven by a citizen, 22 years old, a resident of Presheva, and the "BMW" type vehicle, driven by a 30-year-old citizen, passed through the second line, for detailed checks.

During the checks in these vehicles, where there were 10 passengers in total, the Police services found and seized as material evidence, 43 capsules, 12 smokers, 9 lighters and 2 cutting tools (knives), which are suspected to be used in stadium, during the football match that will take place tonight. 

The 12 citizens were accompanied to the Kukes Local Police Directorate, in order to carry out investigations and further procedural actions for the illegal possession of these items," the police said.
