Illegally Acquired Land Sold for Profit, Tirana Prosecution Seizes 9,000 m² of Farmland in Fushë-Prezë

Authorities have seized 9,000 square meters of farmland located in Fushë-Prezë, upon Tirana Prosecution’s request.
The seizure is part of an ongoing investigation under criminal proceeding no. 2754 of 2025, related to charges of “Fraud” and “Laundering the proceeds of criminal offences.” Investigations found that citizen A.T. fraudulently acquired the land through deceit and abuse of trust and sold it for financial gain.
The case was initiated following a complaint by citizen M.D., that his grandfather’s farmland, originally granted by Law no. 7501, had disappeared from the family's registered assets.

The investigations determined that the property had been illegally transferred into the ownership of citizen A.T., even though it was originally owned collectively by the entire family, and such property could not have been sold or transferred without the consent of all members of the agricultural family, who were legally recognized co-owners as of 1992.

The reviewed documentation indicated that A.T. held ownership of the land, and when questioned how he acquired it, A.T. gave two versions—initially stating that the land had belonged to his father and that he held old documents to prove it, later claiming he had purchased it.

Moreover, there is no financial documentation indicating that A.T. or the involved parties had the means to pay the reported purchase price of 62,203,500 ALL or ( €450,000). In 2016, A.T. donated the property to citizen B.V., represented by proxy from A.V., who claimed that he had purchased the aforesaid property from A.T. for €100,000.
The entire investigation concluded that A.T. had fraudulently obtained the property from citizen H.D. and illegally transferred it into his ownership.
