Incident in Gramsh Military Base, Russian Embassy Reacts

The Russian Embassy has reacted for the first time regarding the incident that happened in Gramsh two days ago, where two Russian citizens and a Ukrainian clashed with two Albanian soldiers trying to enter arms military plant in Gramsh. 

The embassy clarifies that it has not received information from the official Albanian authorities regarding the detention of Russian citizens suspected of infiltration. 

According to the Russian diplomatic corps in the country, a note was sent to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania with the request to inform them about the details of the event. 

"The diplomatic mission is informed about the incident that happened only by the media", says the reaction. The embassy underlines that it has sent a note to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania with the request to inform the Russian diplomatic mission, in the prescribed manner, about the identity of the detainees, their current location, the essence of the charges raised, further procedural actions against them, as well as the possibility of organizing a meeting of the representative of the Consular Branch of the Embassy with the detained Russian citizens", says the embassy's response. 

What happened two days ago in Gramsh? 

Two Russian citizens, 33-year-old Svetlana Timofoeva, 23-year-old Mikhail Zorin and a Ukrainian, Fyodor Mihailovic, were arrested on Saturday evening after an incident at the military plant in Gramsh. As they tried to enter the factory and face the two Albanian soldiers with nerve-paralyzing spray.
