Inter-Institutional Meeting on Cooperation of Investigations into Electoral Criminal Acts Held at Korça Prosecution
The head of Korça Prosecution Office, Dhorina Theodhori, the director of Korça Police Department, representatives from the Special Prosecution Office for Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), and the National Bureau of Investigation held a meeting at the premises of Korça Prosecution Office, as part of the Cooperation Agreement between the General Prosecutor and the Head of SPAK regarding "Efficient Communication and Mutual Cooperation in Investigating Criminal Activities During the 2025 Albanian Parliamentary Elections."
During the meeting, the parties underscored the importance of swift response, effective inter-institutional coordination, and the timely exchange of information to ensure identification and prosecution of any actions compromising the integrity of citizens’ free vote.
The prosecutors and investigators from the Special Prosecution Office will be granted access to the facilities of Korça Prosecution Office, as part of the cooperation agreement. On-site investigators from the National Bureau of Investigation will be available to receive complaints or information from citizens regarding suspected criminal activities related to the elections.
Their presence ensures heightened transparency and further reinforces the commitment of these institutions to addressing this process with the utmost seriousness. Consequently, the Prosecution urges all citizens to actively cooperate and report any attempts that may jeopardize the integrity of free and fair voting.
