Both Albanian victims have been identified as Mynevere Karabollaj, 37 years old (maiden name Vera Myrtaj) and Flonino Merkuri, 23 years old, stabbed to death.

Nevertheless, the police intervened around 10:00 p.m. and until late in the evening it was not clear what exactly had happened. The two victims were cohabitants.

The event was revealed in the afternoon, when the woman's daughter had spoken to her mother, who was still alive. After that, she didn't hear from him again and, as time went by, trying to call him and getting no answer, she became worried and decided to call the authorities.
Late in the evening on the street, along via Leopardi, friends and family, among whom there were those who spoke Albanian, found out about the crime.
