Kosovo Tensions, Ex-Ambassador Accuses PM of 'Hiding to Not Hurt Vuçiç'
Vice-chairman of the Freedom Party and former Ambassador in the UN, Agim Nesho, has reacted regarding the recent tensions in the north of Kosovo, accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama of "hiding like an ostrich in order not to hurt his friend Vucic".
In his reaction, the former Ambassador underlined that Russia looks at this scenario with interest in order to extend its influence, while emphasizing that "Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama tries in vain to find a compromise solution in the Open Balkans".
Moreover, Nesho proclaimed that the tensions were created by the new nationalists of Belgrade, as he pointed out that "The Freedom Party is for the Free Balkans of European Values ??and not the Open Balkans for Russian and Chinese influences".
"The tensions created by the young nationalists in Belgrade in recent days clearly show how far Serbia stands in finding stable and European solutions that ensure peace and stability in the region.
In this climate of tension and incitement to conflict, in a scenario that Russia looks at with interest to extend its influence and the conflict in the Balkans, Mr. Rama tries in vain to find a compromise solution in the Open Balkans.
The Open Balkans, an old Serbian initiative for its Balkan domination, an initiative that brings division and not integration, an initiative imposed on the peoples of the Balkans by the narrow interests for power of the captured leaders, who find the solution not in the values ??and European principles but in compromises with nationalists and unprincipled concessions.
The Freedom Party is for the Free Balkan of European Values ??and not the Open Balkan for Russian and Chinese influences. A Free Balkans to make its own solution for European integration, a Balkans free from the fear of the return of nationalisms and its redistribution on pure ethnic lines.
Today we saw an Albanian prime minister held hostage by his wrong protagonism, 'hiding like an ostrich so as not to hurt his friend Vucic'. It is not only his negative attitude towards the role and issue of Kosovo, but today our European future and a region that is and belongs to Western values ??is being questioned", stated Nesho in his reaction.
