Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Michael Davenport has expressed Sunday the concern after the departure of the Serbs from the institutions of Kosovo, seeking political commitment from Pristina and Belgrade with the aim of achieving progress towards the full normalization of relations. 

In a statement, he called on the sides not to allow differences on current issues to threaten what has been achieved in recent years. 

"Integration of the Kosovo Police and the judiciary has been very important to maintain and strengthen the rule of law in Kosovo, and to preserve the interests of non-majority communities. I am concerned by recent actions and statements that threaten this integration, which is one of the greatest benefits of EU-facilitated dialogue, and from which all communities have benefited. It calls on the parties not to allow differences on current issues to threaten what has been achieved in recent years. 

I want to express the readiness of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo to continue supporting the integration of the Police and the judiciary, and within its mandate to support the implementation of the agreements reached in the dialogue. A greater engagement in dialogue is essential to preserve the interests and also for the safety of all", said Davenport's statement.
