Albania, Turkish Bank Ziraat Branch Inaugurated
The inauguration ceremony of the Albanian branch of Türkiye’s Ziraat Bank was held with the participation of Turkish and Albanian officials, Anadolu reports.
The ceremony, held at the bank’s offices in Tirana, was attended by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Turkish Ambassador to Tirana Bar?? Ceyhun Erciyes, Albania’s Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj, Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Abdullah Erdem Cantimur, Ziraat Bank General Manager Alpaslan Çakar, as well as other representatives of Turkish and Albanian institutions.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Rama said, “You (Ziraat Bank) are one of the proudest standard-bearers of the Turkish economy, and it is a great honor to welcome you.”
Rama emphasized that Ziraat Bank has not only extensive experience in Türkiye but also significant international expertise, adding that the bank’s opening in Albania is expected to bring substantial value to the market.
“Certainly, you will create an even more competitive environment,” Rama said.
‘I am fully convinced that our relations will continue to develop in every field’
Turkish Ambassador Erciyes wished Ziraat Bank success, saying, “I believe its presence here will bring many benefits and further strengthen our economic and bilateral relations.”
“I am fully convinced that, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Prime Minister Rama, our relations will continue to develop in every field,” he added.
Ziraat Bank General Manager Alpaslan Çakar said that, with its 163-year history, Ziraat Bank is one of Türkiye’s strongest and most prestigious institutions.
Çakar stressed that the bank is not merely opening a new service point in Albania.
“At the same time, through this tangible investment, we are demonstrating our confidence in the deep-rooted friendship between Türkiye and Albania, in our mutual trust, and in the future of economic cooperation, which continues to grow day by day,” he said.
