Lezhë Residents Announce Protest against Migration Agreement
The residents of Lezha have announced this Thursday a protest against the agreement signed between Prime Minister Edi Rama and his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, for the establishment of two camps, in Shengjin and Gjadër, for foreign immigrants.
They state that they cannot allow the transformation of Shengjin into a cauldron of immigrants and that the transformation of ‘Lezha e Beselidhjes’ into a second Lampedusa is unacceptable.
The protest will start Thursday around 15:00, on the promenade of Drini.
"Dear citizens of Lezha, it is the day of the march for our country, the city where we were born and raised!
The transformation of Lezhë of the Beselidhje into a second Lampedusa is unacceptable! The transformation of Shengjin into a cesspool of immigrants will not be allowed!
We march for our future, for our families, for Lezha! Do not accept the desecration of Lezha and Albania! Join us at 15:00, on the promenade of Drini, at the former annex", write the citizens of Lezha.
