Lezha Road Police Punished Thousands during August

Lezha Police has provided information on the month of August that experienced an influx of vehicles due to the holidays. 

12 drivers were arrested and 14 others were prosecuted on their own recognizance. Meanwhile, from the numerous controls, about 4.000 drivers were punished: 3992 out of this number were fined, while 332 driving licenses were revoked. 

"Lezha Traffic Police was committed to cope with the influx of vehicles during August and increase road safety parameters. 

Traffic specialists have increased controls on all road axes, in the framework of respecting the rules of the road, as well as to advise, identify and punish drivers who drive improperly, causing road accidents. 
 

The Traffic Police of Lezha district have arrested 12 citizens and have prosecuted 14 others on their own recognizance, for driving under the influence of alcohol or without a driving license. 
 

Numerous controls have been exercised on all road axes of the county, not only for traffic management and prevention of road accidents, but also for the identification, verification and punishment of drunk drivers, those who perform dangerous maneuvers in roads, do not wear a seat belt or use a mobile phone while driving," Lezha Police informed.
