Four people have been killed while two others were injured on the early hours of this Sunday morning in Velipoja area of Shkodra in a clash that deteriorated to the use of weapons.

Everything started with a fight between several people and soon deteriorated in a massive killing. Three young men with the initials: Xh. G., 25 years old, E. G., 38 years old and M. Z. 20 years old, together with K. V. 59 years old, were killed after midnight around 00:30 on 27 June, the police announced.

Furthermore, the people with initials H. V. 54 years old and E. D. 17 years old, who are suspected as perpetrators involved in the armed conflict, were injured.

Meanwhile, the local police went to the scene, and to its aid went Shkodra’s Rapid Intervention Forces along with a group of the RENEA Special Forces. The investigative group is working to clarify and fully document the circumstances of the event.

“On 27.06.2021, around 00:30, in Pulaj Beach, Velipoja, as a result of an instant conflict, which escalated in the use of a firearm, the citizens K. V. 59 years old, Xh. G. 25 years old, E. G. 38 years old and M. Z. 20 years old, were killed.

Also, the citizens H. V. 54 years old, and E. D. 17 years old, who are suspected as perpetrators involved in the armed conflict, were injured.

For the investigation and clarification of the event, a special investigative group was immediately set up with specialists of investigative structures in DVP Shkodra and the Directorate for Investigation of Crimes against Person and Life in the Criminal Police Department in the State Police, under the direction of the Shkodra Judicial District Prosecutor's Office”, announced the police.
