Mega Anti-Crypto Currency Operation in Tirana

Tirana Police is conducting this Friday an operation on "5 Maji" Street, in Tirana while the officers are investigating the murder of the 27-year-old Marjus Qema.

In the framework of the operation in question, the police are checking a warehouse rented by the citizen K. Gj., because it is suspected that the illegal activity of producing electronic currency takes place there.

Meanwhile, the police have just opened the warehouse door and entered, while details on the control are expected. Suspicions are intact that the warehouse was used by the victim Qema, where crypto currency was produced.

However, 27-year-old Mehmet Qema was killed during Monday night at "5 May" area in Tirana. According to the Tirana Blues, he was shot with a pistol firearm and died in hospital from the wounds he received. The 27-year-old turns out to have no criminal record. 

"On 10.05.2021, around 23:15, in the "5 May", in Tirana, was wounded with a pistol firearm, citizen M.Q, 27 years old, who died in the hospital. 

The investigative team is at the scene and under the direction of the Prosecution is working to clarify the circumstances of the event, as well as collect all possible evidence that you will do to identify and capture the authority", announced the Police back then.
