Nearly 7,2 Mln Tourists Visited Albania in 2023

Over two million foreign visitors were registered during the month of August this year, or 18% more compared to the same period a year ago, bringing the number of foreign tourists who visited Albania to around 7.2 million in these 8 month.

This figure is close to the record of 7.5 million tourists that was reached in 2022, the best year ever in tourism in terms of numbers.

"7,190,410 foreign visitors came to Albania during the period January-August 2023 or 27% more compared to the same period of 2022", it is specified in the charts made public by the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro.

"A figure that crowns the work of everyone, of the team of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, of municipalities, tour operators, of everyone who has devotedly invested in raising the reputation of touristic Albania", Minister Kumbaro writes.

During the year 2023, in addition to the high numbers, Albania has also experienced a 'boom' in the world media promotion of its tourism potentials, so far little revealed to the world.

In addition to visitors from Kosovo, who hold the first place in the same numbers as last year, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Montenegro, France, etc. are interesting markets during these months.
