Nearly 700 Penalized for Breaching Anti-Pandemic Protocols

Albanian officers have fined 690 citizens in the last 24 hours with 3.000 ALL after it was found that they did not wear masks, pursuant to the latest government order aimed at curbing the further spread of COVID-19.

Part of the overall 690 were 523 citizens who did not wear protective masks, while 167 passengers were found with this violation. In addition, 10 people were escorted to the police station after refusing to identify themselves.

However, the Police concluded that most of the citizens had put on protective masks and appealed to the citizens to respect this measure.

“During the last 24 hours, 690 citizens who had not put on protective masks were punished with the administrative measure of 3,000 ALL.

State Police thanks the citizens who respect this protection measure and appeals to everyone to put on protective masks, bar owners to respect the security protocols and not to oppose the order of Police employees”, announced the police among other things.
