Nearly USD 1m Assets, Judge Hajdari Appeals Dismissal Decision
Judge Fatmira Hajdari has decided to appeal the Independent Qualification Commission's (IQC) decision for her dismissal, despite the fact that she was found illegal assets in the value of USD 948.000.
On September 21, 2020, Hajdari filed a lawsuit at Appeal Chamber seeking the annulment of the IQCdecision to dismiss her from office. On June 18, 2020, the IQC panel comprised of Roland Ilia, Firdes Shuli and Etleda Çiftja took the decision to dismiss former judge Fatmira Hajdari.
Hajdari was fired by the IQC because irregularities were found in relation to her property: USD 948.000 of illegal assets that she has tried to hide. According to the IQC decision, Hajdari did not fully declare her assets, made an insufficient declaration, did not convincingly explain the source of the assets and made attempts to hide part of the assets.
Fatmira Hajdari's lawsuit for returning to duty will be reviewed by the Appeal Chaber's body composed of Natasha Mulaj, Albana Shtylla, Rezarta Schuetz, Ina Rama and Sokol Çomo.
