New State Police Director Officially Assumes Duty

Muhamet Rrumbullaku has assumed this Thursday the position of State Police's General Director in an official ceremony, where the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bledi Çuçi, was also present.

During his speech, Çuçi said that Rrumbullaku meets all the legal criteria to be in charge of the police, while he expressed his conviction that he would perform his duty with honor and success.

"Besides the legal criteria that he fulfills to be the director of the state police, in my judgment but also of all the people I have consulted, he is one of the few police officers who has created a figure with high moral and professional integrity.

He is one of the few who has been in leadership positions for most of his career. The state police needs a person like Rrumbullaku. The message I want to give you today: today you will receive the flag of the organization, we respect many flags of other countries.

More or less, the only flag for which every Albanian is ready to give his life is the flag with the eagle, don't forget this. I am convinced that you will complete this journey with honor and success", said Çuçi.

However, the new Director General of the State Police, Chief Madhor Muhamet Rrumbullaku, took his oath of office during the official ceremony, saying that he swears to carry the Flag of the State Police with honor.

"In this solemn moment, in respect of the generations, as a sign of honor, to those who fell in the line of duty, determined to implement the law, I swear to honorably carry the Flag of the State Police", said Rrumbullaku.
