This Saturday will be officially open the registration for the Albanian diaspora who want to vote on May 11.

The Central Elections Commission will include in its website a specifically option for this category allowing all the Albanians who live abroad to register through a PC or their mobile phones.

What they need to have is just an ID of Albania and their address where they live. 

On January 11, the online platform "PER" will open to receive applications from emigrants who want to register as voters from abroad. For all those who want to vote, the platform will remain open until March 6.

To register, you must enter the CEC website and click on the "voters from abroad" section. After clicking, you must continue with the procedures and requirements of the Election Commission. Once the application is completed, within 5 days, the CEC will respond within 5 days notifying you whether your application has been accepted or not. 

If the application is successful, the CEC will send the emigrants the ballot by mail. After the will has been signed on paper, the ballot will be returned by mail to Albania to be counted on May 11.
