Notorious 'Bajri' Gang Gets Out of Prison after Two Years

Shkodra Judicial District Court has concluded the judicial review of "Bajri" File, one of the most important files of the autumn of 2018, as one of the first operations of the "Force of Law".

Although the members of the group received jail sentences, only Safet Bajri continues to suffer a sentence at the expense of Belgian justice. The other members were released as detention time equals sentences.

Thus, the Court has partially accepted the conclusions of the defense counsel Lawyer Arber Hoxha and Lawyer Sokol Tahiraj, accepting in this way the shortened trial:

1. Safet Bajri, found guilty and sentenced to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment.

2. Ilir Bajri, found guilty for committing the criminal offense of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and finally sentencing him to 1 year and 8 months imprisonment.

3. Astmer Bilali, found guilty and sentenced to 3 years in prison.

4. Ismet Idrizi, found guilty for committing the criminal offense of Unlawful Possession of Weapons and finally sentencing him to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment.

5. Emrah Plaku, found guilty for committing the criminal offense of Unlawful Possession of Weapons and finally sentencing him to 2 years imprisonment.

Eleven members of Bajri gang were arrested in September 2018 in the framework of the police operation codenamed "Oaz". They were accused of murder, illegal possession of weapons, organization of illegal sports betting, money laundering, imposing fines, production and sale of narcotics.
