One Arrested, 7 Wanted at the End of the Opposition's Protest

A man was arrested while five others were accompanied to police at the end of the violent opposition's protest last Monday.

Police informed this morning that seven other people were declared wanted after throwing Molotov cocktails towards main institutions.

The protest started at the Prime Ministry building, where a tree was burned and police faced an angry crowd, that destroyed a bus station and trash canns.

Then the demonstrators moved to the Socialist Party headquarters and Tirana Municipality, at the end at the Interior Ministry and the Parliament.

The most damaged is the socialist party building. This is the first time that the protesters attacked a party's building, that is why police was unprepared.

Protest was called after the arrest of democrat Ervin Salianji, for false accusation.
