OSCE in Albania Backs President Begaj’s Call for Calm, Offers to Facilitate Dialogue

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Presence in Albania has welcomed President Bajram Begaj’s appeal for calm and dialogue amid rising tensions in the country.

In a public statement, the OSCE reiterated its support for inclusive dialogue, urging all parties to prioritize peaceful engagement as Albania faces a period of heightened tensions following protests in the capital, Tirana.

The organization also expressed its readiness to help facilitate dialogue between the parties involved, should such assistance be requested.

“The OSCE Presence in Albania welcomes President Begaj’s message today. We join the call for calm and inclusive dialogue and stand ready to assist in facilitating such dialogue, if requested,” the organization said.

The statement comes as calls for restraint and cooperation grow, with President Begaj also urging stakeholders to work together to ease tensions and safeguard the country’s stability.

The OSCE’s offer signals a willingness to support efforts to encourage communication and understanding between the parties involved, should they seek the organization’s assistance.
