New Head of OSCE Presence in Albania, Vincenzo Del Monaco.

OSCE Introduces Borchardt's Successor

New chairman of the OSCE Presence in Albania is introduced -Vincenzo Del Monaco, who has over 23 years of career in the Italian diplomatic service and will replace former Ambassador Bernd Borchardt.

Prior to joining the Presence in Albania, Ambassador Del Monaco was Italy's Ambassador to Armenia and, previously, Italy's Ambassador to Montenegro. 

He has also served in Beijing, at the Italian Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels, as well as in the cabinet of the diplomatic adviser of the former president of Italy Giorgio Napolitano. 

He graduated with excellent grades from La Sapienza University in Rome, holds a Master of Laws degree in Higher European Law Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, as well as a degree from the École Nationale d’Administration. 

Ambassador Del Monaco holds the title of Order of Merit (Commendatore) of the Italian Republic, the title of Knight of the French Legion of Honor and the Order of the Montenegrin Flag of the second rank. He speaks Italian, English and French. Del Monaco is married and has three children.
