Albania's Parliament is expected to convene on Thursday for its next plenary session, with lawmakers likely to remain in session beyond what had been expected to be the final sitting of the current parliamentary term.

According to media reports citing parliamentary sources, members of the ruling Socialist Party have been instructed not to leave Tirana, signaling that additional parliamentary meetings are expected in the coming days.

Lawmakers are also scheduled to meet on July 30 in the Conference of Chairpersons, where they are expected to discuss two draft laws concerning state archives and copyright legislation.

Thursday's agenda includes debates on several draft laws and resolutions, as well as three parliamentary oversight sessions requested by opposition lawmakers.

Infrastructure and Energy Minister Enea Karakaçi is expected to face an interpellation requested by opposition lawmaker Blendi Himçi. The minister is also scheduled to participate in two separate question-and-answer sessions requested by opposition MPs Bujar Leskaj and Erald Kapri.

Meanwhile, demonstrators have announced plans to stage another protest outside the Parliament building on Thursday morning. According to announcements shared on social media, the gathering is expected to begin at around 8:30 a.m. local time, approximately 90 minutes before the parliamentary session is scheduled to start.

Authorities have not announced any changes to parliamentary proceedings, while lawmakers are expected to continue deliberations amid heightened political activity both inside and outside the legislature.
